Who we are
PANDAUX is a UI + UX design studio that combines user research with hands-on development. We work with organisations who need digital products that are usable, accessible, and well-built. We're based in Melbourne, and work with clients across Australia and New Zealand.
What We Do
We cover research, design, and engineering — so projects stay coherent from discovery through to delivery.
- UX Research & UI Design — User interviews, usability testing, and interface design grounded in what we learn. We work to balance user needs with business objectives.
- Web & Mobile Development — Full-stack engineering using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CMS platforms. We build applications that are fast, accessible, and straightforward to maintain.
- Interactive Displays & Visitor Experience — Physical-digital experiences for museums, visitor centres, and public spaces. Touchscreens, kiosks, and data visualisations that make information easier to engage with.
- SEO & Accessibility Audits — We audit digital products against WCAG standards and provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve reach and compliance.
Our Story
PANDAUX was founded in 2015 in Wellington, New Zealand. The premise was simple: too many digital projects skip research and move straight to building. PANDAUX was set up to make sure user needs are understood before solutions are designed.
Since then, we've worked with government departments, city councils, education providers, and financial services organisations — sectors where usability, accessibility, and reliability matter.

Our approach is informed by a foundational principle in interactive design: Thought. Action. Interaction.
Effective digital experiences should engage thinking, prompt meaningful action, and enable intuitive communication between people and systems. It's the lens we apply to the work we do.
